Prior to founding PlansConnect, I worked as a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist, public health specialist and a medical science liaison in the pharmaceutical industry. At each stage, my career was built and shaped by my connections and training in New Orleans, as well as across the USA and internationally.

It’s my goal to help every PlansConnect client benefit from my passion, knowledge and experience.

Education, Credentials And Past Work

• BA in Sociology from The Johns Hopkins University

• MD from Jefferson Medical College (now known as Sidney Kimmel Medical College)

• Internship and residency training in Obstetrics and gynecology, Tulane School of Medicine, completed 1999

• Masters in Public Health, Community Health sciences, concentration in Maternal and Child Health, Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine

• Adjunct Faculty Tulane SOM, Community Medicine

• Adjunct Faculty Tulane SOM, Ob/Gyn

• Adjunct Faculty LSU SOM, OB/Gyn

• Practiced clinically as an ob/gyn in urban New Orleans and other healthcare deserts for over 20 years

• Served in governmental public health positions, including Maternity Consultant at the Louisiana State Office of Public Health and also Medical Consultant at Healthy Start, a HRSA program

• Over five years in Medical Affairs in the Pharmaceutical industry, working remotely across a dozen states within the United States, as a Medical Science Liaison in Women’s Health, including Contraception, Postpartum Hemorrhage and Vaccines
