About PlansConnect

A Different Kind of Professional Development

Success in healthcare and the life sciences requires far more than technical expertise.

It requires the ability to communicate ideas clearly, build meaningful professional relationships, collaborate across disciplines, and recognize opportunities that often begin with a single conversation.

At PlansConnect, we help healthcare, public health, life science, and academic professionals develop these essential skills through consulting, workshops, networking experiences, and facilitated conversations.

Whether you're a graduate student preparing for your first internship, a physician exploring new career opportunities, a researcher transitioning into industry, or an organization investing in professional development, our goal is the same:

To help people build meaningful careers by building meaningful connections.

What We Believe

  • Professional growth doesn't happen in isolation.

  • It happens through conversations.

  • Through collaboration.

  • Through curiosity.

  • Through the confidence to introduce yourself, ask thoughtful questions, and build relationships that create opportunities.

  • These skills are rarely taught in medical school, graduate school, residency, or scientific training.

  • Yet they influence every stage of a career.

  • PlansConnect exists to bridge that gap.

Meet the Founder

My Journey Didn't Follow One Career Path—And That Became My Greatest Strength.

When people look at my résumé, they often ask,

"How did you go from clinical medicine to public health, academia, industry, entrepreneurship, consulting, podcasting, and educational travel?"

The answer is surprisingly simple.

Every transition began with a conversation.

Throughout my career, I've learned that opportunities rarely appear because of a job board.

They appear because someone remembers your name.

Because you were curious.

Because you stayed connected.

Because you built trust long before you needed anything in return.

That realization shaped not only my own career—it inspired the creation of PlansConnect.

A Career Built Across Disciplines

Over the past two decades, I've had the privilege of working in many different environments.

As a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, I cared for women during some of the most important moments of their lives.

My work expanded into public health, where I focused on improving maternal and child health at the population level.

I've worked in academic medicine, government, the pharmaceutical and life science industry, nonprofit organizations, consulting, and entrepreneurship.

Each experience taught me something different.

Medicine taught me how to listen.

Public health taught me to think beyond individual patients.

Industry taught me scientific communication and strategic collaboration.

Academia reinforced the importance of mentorship and lifelong learning.

Entrepreneurship reminded me that innovation happens when people from different backgrounds come together to solve problems.

Rather than viewing these experiences as separate careers, I see them as connected chapters that continue to inform how I work today.

Why PlansConnect

Throughout my career, one pattern became impossible to ignore.

Many brilliant professionals struggled with the same challenges.

They weren't lacking intelligence.

They weren't lacking experience.

They simply hadn't been taught how to confidently communicate their value, expand their professional network, or navigate career transitions.

These are learnable skills.

They're also the skills that often open the doors to leadership, collaboration, mentorship, and unexpected opportunities.

That's why I founded PlansConnect in 2023.

Not to teach people how to collect business cards.

But to help them build authentic relationships that support meaningful careers.

Beyond Consulting

Today, my work extends beyond one-on-one consulting.

I facilitate networking events, develop organizational workshops, host the Mid-Month Meeting of the Minds podcast, speak at conferences, and create educational experiences that bring together healthcare, public health, life sciences, entrepreneurship, and community partners.

Whether I'm leading a workshop, moderating a podcast conversation, collaborating with local organizations, or helping someone prepare for an important interview, my goal remains the same:

To create environments where people feel confident connecting, learning, and growing together.

Looking Ahead

The future of healthcare will depend on collaboration across disciplines.

The future of leadership will depend on communication.

And the future of meaningful careers will depend on relationships.

I'm honored to help professionals build all three.

Because one conversation really can change everything.

PlansConnect in Action

Connecting people. Sharing ideas. Creating opportunities.

Trusted by professionals and organizations across healthcare, public health, life sciences, academia, entrepreneurship, and community leadership.
