FOOD, CULTURE & CULINARY MEDICINE TRAVEL
Some of the most meaningful learning doesn't happen in a classroom—it happens through experience.
Educational Wellness Travel is a unique extension of the PlansConnect mission to foster lifelong learning through meaningful, place-based experiences. Our immersive programs bring together health, food, culture, sustainability, public health, and community engagement to create educational opportunities that extend far beyond traditional travel.
Designed for healthcare professionals, educators, public health practitioners, organizations, students, and lifelong learners, each experience explores how communities around the world approach health and wellness through their food systems, cultural traditions, and lived experiences. Participants engage directly with local experts, organizations, and community leaders, gaining insights that enrich both their professional work and personal lives.
These are not simple sightseeing tours. They are thoughtfully curated educational experiences that encourage curiosity, meaningful conversations, and a deeper understanding of the social, environmental, and cultural factors that influence health. Our goal is for every participant to return home with new perspectives, lasting connections, and ideas that continue to inspire long after the journey ends.
Note: There is no Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit offered with any of these trips.
