Join us on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 5:30–7:30 PM in the upstairs private dining room at Tito’s Ceviche & Pisco in New Orleans.
For this Special Edition, Angela McCallum, MS will lead an interactive workshop designed to move beyond simply talking about AI and explore how you can actually begin using it in your professional life.
AI That Works for You
Artificial intelligence is changing how we research, communicate, organize information, develop ideas, and get work done. With so many tools available, the bigger question is: Which ones are useful for what you do, and how do you use them effectively?
Angela will walk through practical applications and real-world examples using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and NotebookLM, exploring the strengths of different platforms and how they can support different professional needs.
We’ll explore ways AI can support:
Research and information gathering
Writing and professional communication
Organizing and synthesizing information
Productivity and workflow
Brainstorming and idea development
Academic and professional projects
The evening will include demonstrations, interactive discussion, Q&A, and opportunities to exchange ideas and strategies with other attendees.
Come for the Workshop. Stay for the Connections.
Socials for Science is about more than what you learn. It is about who you meet and the conversations that happen along the way.
Whether you work in healthcare, life sciences, public health, research, biotechnology, education, or an adjacent field, you are invited to join us. Professionals at all career stages are welcome.
Come ready to learn something new, ask questions, share ideas, make new friends, and expand your professional connections in a casual, welcoming environment.
